Oh oh I thought-when my friend Judi said she was going to the pound. Our dogs Smoke and Turk had died the year before my husband. They were both German Shepards and I thought since I had gotten the birds that I would never have another dog.
So off we went to the pound. There were 2 dogs there that grabbed my attention. First Fuzz-he was a long haired dirty skinny nothing tail guy 5 months old. That little crazy messy one was the one I really wanted.
BUT I talked my son into coming to pick out the one he wanted as you know-it was going to be HIS dog. He was living with me until he got his business started and had just moved out here from Wash. So Thursday morning in we went. The red one was gone-kewl-but they had a baby German Shepard now. So Sean played with Fuzz -then the baby and I stood there telling him its your decision. YIPEEE--he picked Fuzz. Even though he wasn't sure about that tail that looked like a rats-he was a fuzz ball and skinny no hair tail. Well..then they refused to release him until he was fixed the following Tues. Ok..so I went back in Sat. and petted him and told him he was coming home SOON as they would let him :(. Finally Tuesday came. ooh boy stinky stinky. Got him home and into the bathtub and wow-he had a beautiful long haired tail. Then off to the vet-he was SO SICK-kennel cough, worms, and possibly distemper. Well after 3 weeks of shots suddenly that quiet scared puppy turned into FUZZ-the terror :).The most beautiful pup I had ever seen. No longer quiet, no longer sick.
It wasn't long before I was saying-hes YOUR dog But..I love him. After Glen died I had no reason to get up-to do anything but now there was Fuzz-I jumped out of bed in the morning to let him out. I hurried back from the store so he wasn't alone too long. I had a reason now to get up. I call him my Buttercup-When I was young 8-to 10 we lived in Kent,Washington. The field beside our house along by the Green River had a big field with cows and the gound was all filled with Buttercup plants. It was so beautiful and so peaceful-except the time I was standing in there with the cows and my mother paniced and climbed the fence to get me out and all the cows chased her and to this day cows come right up to me for a rub on the head. So now hes mine and we share. He is my BEST FRIEND and even likes the birds. Hes my baby, spoiled rotten. Loves his doodies-bisquits and jerky. Hes the BEST friend in the WORLD! He is so scared of thunder he glues himself to my leg and he doesn't like firecracks so sometimes hes still my baby :).
Fuzz has a new friend-Little Kitty came Dec.10,2004-Well Lil Kitty grew up and she does not play so...now he has his best friend Happy pup-blind dog..
Don,Christy and Kris live next door. Our yards attach so Happy and Fuzz spend hours running back to hall to look out window to see if they are outside,in the yard or coming over.Happy is too short to see out so Don and Kris made him this step stool so he can see out Happy is blind but he can see shadows
